APRIL 23, 2008 Another comfort food shipment is made.
APRIL 13, 2008 Keith Maupin tells the Det 3 Foundation to “bring it on…” He is ready to begin again to ship
our gifts to the troops. Even as he prepares for the memorial service for his son, he extends himself to help
those youngsters serving abroad. Keith is a man of amazing courage and an absolute inspiration to us.
APRIL 13, 2008 We are advised by First Sergeant Mike Magnus, that one final thing is needed to get the
satellite internet system we provided up and running….he needs some range-boosting routers…we identify a
source, purchase and pick up the equipment the very same day. The equipment ships on April 14 to the men….
it has been a long wait, with many obstacles, but soon, about 80-100 men will be able to email home any time
they are not out on patrol or on duty. A VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO PAUL LOYD, OF HOUSTON TEXAS HIS
GENEROUS HELP IN MAKING THIS HAPPEN.
APRIL 8, 2008 Another comfort food shipment is made.
APRIL 7, 2008 At the CO’s request, we ship five basketballs and another portable basketball system to the
men…the system already there has been a HUGE hit with the men. (The men had two basketballs, until a
humvee ran over one) We hope we’ve sent adequate replacements.

THE UNITED STATES ARMY ADVISES KEITH MAUPIN THAT THE REMAINS OF HIS SON MATT, WHO WAS
CAPTURED ON APRIL 9, 2004 HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED, AND THAT MATT WILL BE COMING HOME AT LAST.
THE ENTIRE GREATER CINCINNATI AREA, AS WELL AS THE NATION, JOINS THE FAMILY IN MOURNING.
MEANWHILE, MARCH HAS BEEN A TOUGH MONTH: THE MEN HAVE SURVIVED ATTACKS WITH IED’S, CAR
BOMBS AND A NUMBER OF UP CLOSE FIREFIGHTS WITH THE MAHDI ARMY WITH NO SERIOUS INJURIES.
PLEASE KEEP THEM IN YOUR PRAYERS WHILE THEY FACE THIS DANGEROUS ENEMY FOR US.
March 27, 2008 We deliver a load for shipment to Keith Maupin at the Yellow Ribbon Support
Center. We didn’t know at the time, but there will be a slight delay in getting it shipped.
